About us

North Yorkshire Youth supports high quality youth work in the sub region of York and North Yorkshire and engages young people in opportunities that promote personal and social development.

We run a variety of projects that work with young people and services to support others working with young people. We own and operate Carlton Lodge Outdoor Centre, our specialist residential centre for Outdoor Learning.

History

The organisation began life as North Riding Association of Youth Clubs in 1940. In 2007 the name changed to North Yorkshire Youth to more accurately reflect our focus on the concerns, interests and lives of young people.
