Learn to Climb at Carlton Lodge

The National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS) is now being run at Carlton Lodge

“The National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS) is designed to introduce new and young climbers to climbing on artificial walls in a series of five levels of increasing technical skill and knowledge. The scheme aims to accredit achievement in climbing and focuses on skills, knowledge and safety.”
Carlton Lodge has been approved as an Awarding Centre for NICAS levels 1 + 2. Our highly trained and experienced instructors can help you get even more out of your visit if you register for the scheme which costs just £4! A committed and well disciplined young person could achieve Level 1 over a weekends’ visit and Level 2 could be realised on a second, more focused visit.
